Excitement gets the better of me everytime.
So one of the first things I'm going to launch at studio k2 is collaborating with other artists. I've started the 'artists' salon' so that we can network, share resources and just be with other like-minded people. Sometimes it's difficult to stay motivated and focused in the arts industry and I believe by networking with your peer group you can stay in a positive frame of mind and work toward the vision you have of a life in creativity. The idea to found studio k2 came with the intent to be more actively involved with other artists. When you work in relative isolation (even apart from the pandemic we are enduring) it's easy to get wrapped up in your own little world and not participate in the industry as a whole. Recognizing that and reaching out to others is a key goal for me in putting studio k2 out there. Now we'll see how the membership grows and I believe the members will see the benefits to meeting, chatting, collaborating with others to share resources and promote our field.
Granted, the pandemic has put a kink in the plan in terms of launching it physically but I think we can do this on a virtual level that will still be motivating and worthwhile. artist-to-artist
