This is for you.... if you love art, want to explore your creativity in drawing
& painting, and
need a vacation!
Designed for beginner artists, studio k2 has a full week planned in the visual arts. Hosted by artist Karen Klucowicz in the creative hub of Hamilton — The Cotton Factory. Instruction, creation time, art excursions and local cuisine for lunches and dinner. All materials, excursions and meals as outlined in the itinerary below are included. It's like an art summer camp for adults! All you have to do is book your easel and plan to get creative with us!
itinerary
Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm
day 1 In studio.
Meet your fellow artists for coffee and an ice breaker art experience to get the creative juices flowing.
Lunch by local restaurant
Afternoon introduction and work time to concept, drawing and painting. You’ll start planning your first masterpiece today!
day 2 Excursion, local restaurant, & in studio.
We’ll begin this day by touring two local galleries, see a little of the Hamilton street art, and you’ll lunch on your
own at a local restaurant - inspiration is assured!
In the afternoon we return to the studio to explore techniques and composition and you’ll work on your art piece.
day 3 In studio.
Full day in studio including lunch and a guest visit by a local artist.
Tonight you can join the group for a casual get dinner at a local restaurant.
day 4 In studio & excursion including dinner at a Niagara winery.
We are in studio for a good part of the day including lunch to work on your painting(s).
2:30pm we depart to visit a local winery and will enjoy the art on the grounds and in the gallery.
This day goes a little longer — we’ll finish the day off with dinner, wine and music at this fantastic location
and return to The Cotton Factory early evening.
day 5 In studio.
Wrap-up! Today, you’ll finish your art, meet a visiting artist, pack up and we’ll close with a fantastic lunch experience with a local supplier.

what’s included:
All instruction and creative guidance, materials, four lunches, light refreshments each day in studio, one dinner, excursion fees and transportation are included. Adults only - 19+ years.
retreat fee: $1,450.00 + hst per person
25% deposit fee is required at time of booking, balance is due two weeks before Day 1.
cancellations:
Things happen, we know. If you do have to cancel your plans ... up to 3 weeks before - full refund less 5% administration charge (and credit card charges, if paid that way); 14 days to Day 1 10% administration fee (and credit card charges, if paid that way) will be deducted before refund is issued. If we have an opening in alternate dates that work for you we can reschedule your retreat at no cost.

not included:
Accommodation and travel to and from Hamilton, and, to and from The Cotton Factory is NOT included (there is public transportation that brings you to a three minute walk to the studio).
Parking is available.
Lunch on Tuesday and an optional gathering on Wednesday.
